What is belief in the Last Day?
Belief in the Last Day is to have firm conviction that the last day will certainly come, as well as belief in all that occurs after death, such as:
trials of the grave, its comfort and punishment;
the blowing of the trumpet;
the resurrection of all humanity and standing before their Lord
the spreading of the scrolls of their deeds;
the spreading of the scrolls of their deeds;
the laying of the scales [ which measure deeds];
the bridge [over Hellfire which all must cross];
the Cistern [from which the followers of the prophet Sallah Allahu 'Alayhe wa Sallam will drink];
the intercession [of the Prophet for creation and his nation];
and then proceeding to either the Paradise or the Hellfire.
